Prices by size, what a quote should actually include, and the three fine-print items that quietly turn a $300 rental into a $450 invoice.

In Fayetteville and Washington County as of October 2026, a roll-off dumpster with delivery, pickup, disposal and a 7‑day rental window runs $375–$475 for a 10–15 yard, $450–$550 for a 20 yard, and $550–$775 for a 30–40 yard. Where you land in each range depends on the weight of what you are throwing away, not the volume.
These are local figures, not national averages. They were set against published Northwest Arkansas prices sampled on 11 October 2026: Your Local Dumpster at $399 / $459 / $665 for 15, 20 and 30 yard containers on a 7‑day window, and Arkansas Waste Solutions at $460 / $515 for 15 and 20 yard. National averages run lower than the NWA market and are not a useful guide here.

National marketplaces often quote Northwest Arkansas jobs higher — they broker your rental to a local hauler and keep the spread. Renting from whoever actually owns the container is usually the better price.
Included tonnage. Every rental includes disposal up to a weight limit, commonly one to three tons, with overage typically running $50–$75 a ton. Wet carpet, plaster and roofing pile on weight fast, which is why a low headline price with a one-ton allowance is often the most expensive option on the block.
Rental period. Standard is seven to ten days. Daily overage fees of $5–$15 a day are perfectly fine if you know about them in advance and infuriating if you do not. Projects slip — ask before you book.
Prohibited items. Tires, batteries, liquids, paint and refrigerant appliances trigger per-item fees at the landfill that get passed back to you. Ask for the list up front; ours is on the sizes page.
Most operators in this market include 2 to 3 tons of disposal in the price, with overage past that running roughly $50–$75 a ton. We will state the tonnage included in your container before you book rather than after you load it — that figure is the single biggest reason two quotes for the same size differ.
On your own driveway or property, no. On a public street in Fayetteville or most Washington County cities, check with the city first — right-of-way placement usually requires one. The driveway is simpler in every way, and plywood under the rails protects the surface.
Full-service junk removal charges by volume with labour included — excellent for a single couch, expensive for a whole garage. If you can load it yourself over a weekend, a rented container typically moves three to four times the volume per dollar. If you cannot or will not load it, hire the labour. Honest maths beats either sales pitch.
If your job is purely yard waste, do not rent anything. Fayetteville residents can drop yard waste free at the city’s Compost & Mulch Facility on S. Armstrong Ave. with a recent water bill as proof of residency. Details and hours are on our service area page.
Ranges reflect typical 2026 Washington County pricing for planning purposes; exact quotes depend on size, debris type and location.
